Often-asked questions
Newborn sessions are preferably scheduled between 10 and 15 days old. But anytime in the first few weeks work, too! I accept a limited number of sessions each month and I generally book up about two months in advance. If you’re interested in having me photograph your newborn baby, please contact me as soon as possible so I can lock in the time just for you!
Milestone sessions can be scheduled at any age but typical stages occur at 3-4 months when the baby smiles start, 6-7 months when your baby is newly sitting unsupported, and 12 months when it’s time to celebrate your baby’s first birthday with a cake smash! Please contact me a month ahead so we can find a time that works for you.
Newborn sessions can range anywhere from two to four hours. A happy, settled baby is the most important part of any newborn session and I will patiently dedicate as much time as needed to achieving that for you! Additionally, there will also be plenty of relaxed time for feeding and changing your baby.
Milestone sessions can last from 30 to 60 minutes.
All sessions take place at my cozy home studio in Groveland, Massachusetts. I hope you will feel right at home.
My studio is equipped with all of the backgrounds, props, accessories, and clothing needed to create artful images matching your vision and home! You do not need to bring anything, but if you have any sentimental items, I’m happy to plan for and incorporate those when possible. Even if you choose not to use a pacifier for your baby in general, it can be helpful to bring one, as it can assist in settling and calming your baby if needed.
Digital files, heirloom quality albums, framed art ,and folio boxes are among the most popular items purchased.
